Both Glucosamine and Chondroitin sulphate are components of the supporting ground substance of cartilage and other connective tissues throughout in the body. The role of these molecules is to draw water and nutrients into the tissues, to nourish, protect and support normal function and growth of the tissue. As a result of aging and general day to day 'wear and tear' or from trauma to the joint, cartilage degradation occurs then subsequently Osteoarthrits can set in.

- Glucosamine Sulphate Potassium Chloride 500mg
- Sea Cucumber (Bech-de-Mer) (Providing naturally occuring Chondroitin Sulphate) 50mg
- Chondroitin Sulphate Sodium (Shark) 90% (Equiv. Chondroitin Sulphate Sodium 172mg) 172mg
Herbal extracts equivalent to dry:
- Apium graveolens Seed (Celery) 200mg
- Salix alba Bark (White Willow) 800mg
- Harpagophytum procumbens Tuber (Devil's Claw) 300mg
Additional Ingredients:
Magnesium stearate, gelatine capsule.
Herb Information:
White Willow Bark:
This herb was the natural origin of aspirin and provides natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties without the side effects of the pharmaceutical derivative. Willow bark is particularly suited to muscle and joint pain and inflammation.
Celery Seed:
Celery seed has a diuretic action which is helpful in arthritic conditions as a means of eliminating metabolic waste and excess fluid involved in inflammation.
Devil's Claw:
Traditionally used as an analgesic, this herb has been shown in recent studies to provide both anti-inflammatory and analgesic actions. Devil's Claw is beneficial for all types of arthritis and musculoskeletal pain.
Formulated without:
Gluten, corn, dairy, lactose, sugar, starch, soy, wheat, yeast, artificial flavours, artificial sweeteners, artificial colours or preservative.
What are the Contraindications/Interactions of Arthrite Xtra™?
Cautions:
- Arthrite Xtra™ is an all-natural product but must be taken using caution under medical advice if you have any allergies to seafood, even mild. Avoid taking if you suffer from severe allergic reactions to seafood.
- Arthrite Xtra™ should not be taken by those with Scleroderma or any condition involving excess collagen or connective tissue formation.
- Arthrite Xtra™ should not be taken by those with allergy or sensitivity to salicylates.
- Arthrite Xtra™is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- In the rarest of instances, Glucosamine and Chondroitin may increase blood glucose levels, therefore those with diabetes should regularly monitor their blood glucose levels when taking Arthrite Xtra. A safer more effective alternative would be green-lipped mussel extract.
- Occasionally Glucosamine sulphate and chondroitin sulphate can cause mild digestive disturbances such as mild diarrhoea, nausea or heartburn. Always take with food if this is the case.
What is the Dosage Recommendation for Arthrite Xtra™?
Adults:
Take 1 to 2 capsules daily with food. In severe cases, take 3 capsules daily (1 with each meal) or as advised by your medical professional.
