What are the Key Ingredients of Herbal Throat Formula?
Herbal Throat Formula contains a unique combination of three common herbs, Thyme, Liquorice and Echinacea.
Key Ingredients:
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris):
Traditionally used for respiratory tract conditions from sore throats and coughs to aiding expelling mucous and easing spasmodic coughing. Thyme is also used for inflammatory oral conditions, gastrointestinal upsets, and topically as an anti-microbial and counter- irritant.
Liquorice (Glycyrrihiza glabra):
Liquorice helps to soothe and decrease inflammatory conditions of the respiratory and digestive tracts. In the respiratory system it is commonly used for aiding chest conditions and works as an excellent soothing ingredient in medicines for sore throats and spasmodic coughing. Various components of Liquorice root extracts have been shown to accelerate the healing of sore mouth ulcers.
Echinacea Root (Echinacea purpea):
A traditional remedy used for a broad range of infectious and inflammatory conditions. Clinical trials have shown that Echinacea is a useful preventative as well as treatment for bacterial and viral infections. Kiwiherb Echinacea is a premium Echinacea product made from Certified Organic, New Zealand grown Echinacea purpurea root.

What are the Contraindications/Interactions of Herbal Throat Spray?
This product is not for use by those with high blood pressure, fluid retention or during pregnancy without the advice of a medical professional. Avoid prolonged use over 6 weeks for those with high blood pressure, alternatively you may gargle only. Those who are allergic to the Asteraceae family plants, for example, chamomile, artichokes, daisies should use with caution when taking Echinacea due to a possibility of allergic reactions. A temporary but harmless tingling in the mouth may occur immediately after taking as this is a natural effect of high quality Echinacea. This is normal and indicative of potent, high quality Echinacea.
What is the Dosage Recommendation for Herbal Throat Spray?
Adults:
5 - 10ml
Children (6 - 12yrs):
2.5 - 5ml
Special Instructions:
Take up to 4 times daily. Dilute in 25 - 50ml of water. Gargle and hold in your mouth and throat for up to 30 seconds before swallowing.
