Chitosan in Liposorb™ Fat Blocker capsules is obtained from the New Zealand squid and is processed to create a fibre that that is insoluble and binds dietary fat. The amino group in chitosan is positively charged, which makes chitosan binds to negatively charged particles such as fat and bile acids and it is thought that binding of fat in the diet helps dietary fat to be eliminated from the gastrointestinal system without being absorbed. This helps reduce the amount of fat, triglycerides and cholesterol in the blood. Liposorb™ Fat Blocker capsules also contain vitamin C, which is thought to increase the effectiveness of chitosan in excretion of fat in the faeces.

What is the Dosage Recommendation for Liposorb™ Fat Blocker?

Missed dose of Liposorb™ Fat Blocker?
